Description
To sustain an environment suitable for man, we must fight on a thousand battlegrounds. Despite all of our wealth and knowledge, we cannot create a redwood forest, a wild river or a gleaming seashore. - Lyndon B. Johnson
We hope you will join us for our signature event of the year, the 16th annual Wine & Wildflowers on Saturday, April 22. Presented by CWRU’s Austin and Houston alumni chapters, this event is open to all Texas CWRU alumni.
Celebrate the spring season and spend time with fellow CWRU alumni as we tour the Lyndon B. Johnson Ranch. Built in beautiful Hill Country, the “Texas White House” was the location of LBJ’s birth, provided the backdrop for many years of his life and is now his final resting place.
The day will end at Inwood Winery with wine tasting and a delicious dinner of pulled pork shoulder/beef sausage with accompaniments of mustard potato salad, slow cooked pinto beans, italian giardiniera, pickle, onion and fresh bread.
1:00 p.m. - Meet at Visitiors Center
